Woman seriously injured, three kids hurt in crash at Karakin, north of Perth

A 38-year-old man driving the Landcruiser is believed to have ‘failed to negotiate’ a bend.
A woman has been seriously injured in a crash at Karakin in WA.

A woman has been seriously injured in a crash north of Perth that has also put three children in hospital.

The 37-year-old woman was a passenger in a white Toyota Landcruiser when it crashed on Indiana Cres at Karakin about 10pm on Saturday.

It’s believed the 38-year-old man driving the 4WD “failed to negotiate a right-hand bend”, police said in a statement.

The vehicle crashed into a tree on the left side of the road.

The woman suffered serious head injuries and was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.

The man received broken ribs and was taken to the same hospital.

Three children aged 8, 10 and 12 were taken to Perth Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under police investigation, with witnesses urged to come forward.
