PLAYER OF THE MATCH

A rude shock for Pakistan as they lose this. But they still have two more games to go and win the series. The next game is on Sunday (12th), do join us then. Till then, it's time to smile, relax and have a good night's sleep. Don't forget the cuddles and to sleep tight. Goodbye for now.

Andrew Balbirnie | Player of the Match: I did not watch the last over, went to the tent and put a towel over my head. I felt it was my job to get the team over the line. I believe Curtis played a ramp shot. To do that in a  massive pressure situation was great. Harry spoke to me and said if we could bat normally till the 13th over, we could get the runs as it's a small ground and we can catch up quickly. That was a partnership which set it up. Yes, I was disappointed to get out on the full toss. You don't get too many of those deliveries from a bowler like Shaheen. I was hoping it would be a no-ball but it can't when it hits the stumps. My club is playing tomorrow but I will watch some cricket and take rest.

Paul Stirling | Ireland captain: We are absolutely delighted, we wanted to start the summer off well and it was almost a perfect day for us. When you come here, especially from Pakistan, the flattest pitches in the world, ask them to bat first and see what they can get. 170 was OK but we leaked a few, but we were happy to chase 180. Brilliant knock from Balbirnie, he got through the powerplay and picked up the pace later on as well. He timed it to perfection, it was a fantastic knock. We have had great games here especially against Pakistan and to get over the line today is brilliant.

Babar Azam | Pakistan captain: I think we started no good, in the first 6 overs, the pitch is two-paced. But we recovered very well, 190 is a par score and we lost in the bowling and fielding. We did not execute our plans, few sloppy fielding, had we taken that catch... That's why they win because they attack us. [on if they will practice tomorrow] Let's see, let's talk with the coach.

18:32 Local Time, 17:32 GMT, 23:02 IST: A fine win for Ireland and must say they have thoroughly deserved it. They go 1-0 up in the series. The platform was set by Andy Balbirnie who was in great nick. He built partnerships with Tector and Dockrell after the early losses of Stirling and Tucker. The wickets of Dockrell and Balbirnie, in the penultimate over gave Pakistan a sniff but with 11 to defend in the last over, Campher kept his cool and took his side home. A nice little cameo from Delany too as he struck a crucial boundary in his 10. Pakistan were sloppy on the field with fumbles and that Ifti moment when he stepped on the cushions to concede 6 at a critical juncture. Had he taken that catch, who knows how the result would have gone. But take nothing away from Ireland and especially Balbirnie at the top who stroked it all around with great timing. Pakistan's worries continue in this format, and they will hope that Naseem Shah is fine. Stay tuned for the presentation...

Abbas Afridi to Campher, leg byes, 1 run, Irelandddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd! They have upset Pakistan here. A short of length delivery at Campher who is rushed on the pull, he misses, but the ball hits the arm and stays near the stumps, the batters take the legbye and it's a famous win for Ireland

Just one to win. 2 balls left. Naseem is down beyond the ropes. Has he injured himself? The physio is attending to him.
