The place previously hosted the Bistrot Romain and the Palacio: it is finally revealing its new colors! Simone, a new restaurant, is opening at 13 square de la Couronne, in Nîmes. Monday!

Three partners take over the emblematic premises at Square de la Couronne, in Nîmes, formerly the Roman Bistrot and the Palacio. They are two young entrepreneurs from Nîmes and Daniel Ubeda, already manager of the Farniente restaurant in -Maries-de-la-Mer. Antoine Petit Pical is one of them and the guest of the eco here, this Monday, May 13.

Simone: a tribute to grandmothers

The new place is called Simone, a reference to strong women of the last century. “We think directly of Simone Veil, Simone de Beauvoir… but also of our two grandmothers my partner and I who both had this first name“, explains the very young 26-year-old entrepreneur.

The concept is intended to be 100% local from the decoration to the ceiling just on the taste buds. “We wanted to employ local craftsmen: from ironwork to our plates“, explains Antoine Petit Pical. On the menu, we find a lot of seafood products. “We work with local fishermen for shellfish, crustaceans and fresh fish“, explains the young man.

Simone’s inauguration takes place this Monday, May 13, 2024, at 7 p.m., in the middle of the week of the Nîmes feria! And also to support the launch of this new restaurant in the city center a fine program: DJ set and tasting on the program.
