People crediting our run to injuries

Just remember 2 things.

1.) We have Mathurin out, and Hali with a messed up back.

2.) We had winning records in the regular season against both the bucks and the knicks before all the injuries.

Ps. Coaching has a LOT more to do with Knicks injuries than NY fans are accepting

What Hart here gets to play is unhealthy. Back to back games with 0 seconds rest, entire series playing at least 42 minutes EACH game and in the one game with healthy minutes was because of the blowout in game 5: not even smart coaching by Thibs.

Those injuries of the Knicks are at least for a large part the result of the KNOWN habits of Thibs acting like a drill sergeant in Ancient Sparta. He did the same in Chicago: someone like Deng played multiple seasons 39 MPG.

Blame your own HC. This isn't injury luck, but the other end of the spectrum from Load Management.

Bucks situation was equally at least partially self inflicted. That roster is top heavy with their star known to be injury prone, no depth and one of the oldest rosters in the league.

Injuries helped a lot though

Yes, but no. Think about it like this: If Randle and other guys play, does Brunson get as many looks to average the 40 points a game he was getting keep the games close?

Raps fan. You guys won because they are injured. Period. No shame in it. That’s how we won in 2019. You play whoever is in front you. I thought you were better than a fully healthy bucks squad. But the knicks possibly sweep you if they’re fully healthy. No shame in it.

Agree on not being ashamed about injuries. Part of the game, and comparing Benn being out to Giannis or Randle is… something.

But would also say you can’t just assume if it weren’t for injuries that the Pacers would be swept. Knicks had a lot of players step up that wouldn’t have gotten that opportunity without injuries; value players provide isn’t additive

About the Giannis point, I just think doc is that BAD of a coach. Even with Giannis I liked your chances.

The sweep comment is probably hyperbole on my end. I guess I just don’t think it would have been a competitive series if Randal + Mitchell played and OG wasn’t hampered.

My overall point is, fuck the injuries. You’re in the ECF, how you got there doesn’t really matter.

Still don’t think this is the case, but will have to see how they match up next year.

You fucking clown they beat both Knicks and Bucks in the regular season. Maybe the Knicks win the series with a full healthy roster but there's no way it would be a sweep.

2-0 with og We didn’t even need Randle, Mitch, Bogy If og didn’t get hurt, we win the series in 6 max But he got hurt (bc of thibs tbh) and the pacers won So GGs I hope we can run it back next year. Also, TJMC & myles turner are fucking dawgs. So underrated. Absolute game changers. Good luck against the Cs, I think y’all will put up a great battle Ngl. So much pressure on the cs
