LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine University men's basketball head coach Scott Davenport today announced the signings of forward Jack Karasinski, a transfer from William & Mary, and center Bailey Temming from Bishop Fenwick High School in Franklin, Ohio.

Karasinski appeared in nine games and made eight starts as a sophomore at W&M during the 2023-24 season before his campaign was cut short due to injury. The Grand Rapids, Mich., native averaged 7.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists. He was previously named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll as a freshman. Following his senior season at Catholic Central High School, he was named one of five finalists for Michigan's Mr. Basketball.

Davenport credits Karasinski's family for assisting in a smooth recruiting process.

"The recruiting process with Jack and his family was very refreshing to our entire staff and program," said Davenport. "I was very impressed with his maturity and priorities. Multiple times he reiterated his plan and called upon his experience as a college athlete to use the game of college basketball, never accused of the game using him. This starts as always at home. His family was very thorough and totally involved in a positive supportive manner."

Karasinski is listed at 6-foot-7, 215 lbs., and is expected to impact the Knights on both offense and defense.

"On the court, Jack is a basketball player who makes plays inside, outside and on both ends of the court," Davenport added. "He has pride in doing little things—these win games! We are excited to have him work with Jo Griffin, our strength and conditioning coach, because they both want the same thing and that combination will be powerful."

Karasinski comes to Bellarmine with three years of eligibility remaining and speaks of the comfort he felt when meeting the staff and players.

"I chose Bellarmine because of the sense of family in locker room," said Karasinski. "Coach Davenport has a vision for his program and his players that I wanted to be a part of. Bellarmine allows me to excel in basketball, academics and further my religion."

Temming comes to Louisville after a strong senior season to finish his high school career. He averaged 16.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.9 blocks while helping BFHS to a 17-8 record. He brings a list of accolades with him, including 2023-24 GLC Co-Ed Player of the Year, District 15 D2 Upperclassman of the Year and All-Southwest Ohio D2 First Team.

"Bailey has a love for the game of basketball that every successful player I have coached possesses," said Davenport. "The gym is his and his upside will be reached because of his drive and determination. The one thing we can't coach is he is 6-foot-10 and strives to utilize his height to affect the game at both ends."

A former Knights standout vouched for Temming, helping him make the connection with Davenport.

"Recruiting is about relationships and the first call we received on Bailey was from Bellarmine great CJ Fleming, who now is a successful high school coach in the Cincinnati area," Davenport continued. "CJ was convinced he was one of us and he was right on. We are excited to coach him this summer as he begins his college career on and off the court. His development will be exciting to watch!"

Bailey represented BFHS in the 2023 Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game along with another incoming Knight, Lexington Catholic guard Tyler Doyle.

"I chose Bellarmine because of the culture and atmosphere that I experienced on my visit," said Temming. "Also, the location and campus are other big reasons why I came."
