QUESTION
I was having this (unserious) argument with my bf that there are just some kpop idols who are without a doubt, objectively attractive. Meaning regardless of your preferences/sexuality, this person is attractive. He tried to argue beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, which it is, but you aren’t going to tell me if you passed Seonghwa, Hyunjin, or Kai (Exo) walking down the street you wouldn’t be blown away. They don’t have to be your type, but like….have you SEEN them? Who are some idols you guys think are undeniably gorgeous? I’m making a PowerPoint lmao

That really depends how you wanna define the objective here.
There are traits which people in geneal find more attractive, these are biological signals for others to seek out "good genes" essentially.
If you want to say that is objective or not is up to you, because yeah there is no god's will which would define objective beauty, or a particle which would do so.
Still, there are patterns which are biologically driven for us humans, that's as close as you'll get.

For a male, taehyung is the most fitting imo to be seen as universally attractive and for a woman I’d say suzy or jennie I don’t see anyone else being viewed as attractive by most regardless of their preferences

Right, because beauty is subjective but not everybody can be a Calvin Klein or a Victoria Secret model, or an Korean idols/actresses as well (many trainees get refused or get insulted because of their looks because of the so-called existence of "subjective beauty").
Anyways, one of the idols/celebrities that seems to fit Korea beauty standards the most is probably Cha Eunwoo and Wonyoung. And I'm sure that many Koreans wouldn't have any issues admitting that 🙃.

If I had to think of one idol who is objectively attractive without being biased (okay a tiny bit biased as a nctizen), I’d say Jaehyun from NCT127.
Bonus: Minho from SHINee.
But I don’t think any one person is going to be universally attractive but these are two that I think people can recognize are attractive regardless of type/preferences.
Baekhyun! When I saw Super M I couldn't take my eyes off of him. I always liked Baekhyun well enough but he was never really a favorite in exo or super m....but wow! That man live...I've never seen anyone as beautiful, he looked almost unreal.

I think ive and txt are the prettiest groups who're currently active but some people say they're just meh/nothing special/even ugly. So it's just subjective.

If we are talking in terms of beauty standards because that is the only technical way we can measure beauty.
Let's be real objectively most idols fit some sort of or at least 70% of beauty standards and are well groomed and styled a good amount of the time.
Some just fit more of the standard more than others.
Collectively we as a society would deem most of them attractive or they wouldn't be there.

I think what you want to say is the conventionally attractive. This is typically determine by facial symmetry, cultural bias and things like that.
There are many good looking people that are not conventionally attractive - they are typically muse for cameraman/modelling agency. They are damn sexy suited for modelling and things of that nature. I think the term is Unconventional Beauty.
Personally, I like the Unconventional Beauty types in idols. Eg: idols like Hwasa, Kai(Exo) that have unique look are amazing muse since I can easily distinguish them from thousands other idols the minute I learnt their name.
Top visual ever to me: Xiaoting. That woman could end wars. I have never seen a beauty like hers.
