Renowned for revolutionising the folk-rock genre, Steeleye Span’s influence extends far beyond the confines of small clubs, earning them gold discs and international acclaim. Their latest venture, The Green Man Collection, pays homage to their illustrious past while embracing the contemporary, featuring tracks from recent albums alongside revamped versions of Steeleye classics and a rendition of Elvis Costello’s ‘Shipbuilding’.

Of particular note is the title track, penned by Bob Johnson, a founding member whose contributions shaped the band’s early ballads. Lost for four decades, the song’s poignant message on climate change resonates profoundly in today’s world.
