Gravitas Ventures Acquires Worldwide Rights To Indie Thriller ‘In Flight’ Ahead Of Cannes Premiere

EXCLUSIVE: Gravitas Ventures has acquired worldwide rights to the Showdown Productions feature In Flight, which the company is bringing to sales at the Cannes Film Festival.

From director Bo Youngblood in her debut, the indie thriller is written by John Ierardi and Drew McAnany and stars Tiffany Smith (Guardians Of the Galaxy Vol. 3) Cristo Fernández (Ted Lasso, Transformers Rise of the Beasts) and Maria Russell (Jury Duty).

In Flight centers on Claire Reynolds (Tiffany Smith), an overachiever who graduated at the top of her class and an all-star athlete. The night before she takes a dream trip to Paris, her best friend treats her to a bon voyage toast at their favorite bar. She catches the eye of Marco (Cristo Fernández) a mysterious, charming and handsome stranger. That’s the last thing she remembers before waking up on a plane with no recollection of how she got there – and the games begin.

Ashley Jones, Scott Dean, Alisa Allapach, Sandi McCree, Brandon Morales, Darren Weiss, Daniel Robaire, Kelsie McDonald and Tiagz also star.

“In Flight reminds me of those late 90’s early 2000’s thrillers that are equally nerve-racking and exciting. John and Drew wrote this really fun, high-tension, contained thriller that was a really great opportunity to bring to life. Having a strong female lead that drives the story instantly attracted me to the project because it isn’t something we usually see with these types of films, shared Youngblood.

Executive producers include Cristo Fernández, Babak Movassaghi, Phil Shaltz, Michelle Graci, Natalie Marciano, Rock Jacobs, Richard Chan, Christopher Renteria, Peter Roumeliotis, Gabby Kono, Nancy Leopardi and Ryan March. Ierardi and Youngblood of Showdown Productions produce alongside McAnany.
