Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma joined the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav who scored more than 450 runs in their debut season. The season is not yet over for Sharma as he can add to his tally in the playoffs.

Yet another campaign ends miserably for Punjab Kings who lost nine games out of the 14 played and managed to win just five. Their dream of making the playoffs remained unfulfilled once again.
