Yet another campaign ends miserably for Punjab Kings who lost nine games out of the 14 played and managed to win just five. Their dream of making the playoffs remained unfulfilled once again. Shikhar Dhawan played just five games and missed the remaining season due to injury. A return from him became impossible. Sam Curran led Punjab Kings in the first half of the season and it was Jitesh Sharma who led them in this game.

KKR, RR, SRH, and RCB made it to the playoffs finally. RCB defeated CSK in their final league game to make it to the playoffs. They have now won six games on the trot as they made it to the playoffs. They won just one out of their first eight games and won all of their next six league games to make it to the playoffs.

They will play the Eliminator against either SRH or RR. The final position of the teams will be decided after the end of the KKR vs RR contest in Guwahati later tonight. Meanwhile, RCB's comeback this season is being touted as the best ever among all the teams. They were placed last on the points table almost more than halfway through the first half. They managed to make it to the playoffs pulling off an incredible heist.
