Renting a car overseas with Provisional P AND IDP

Hi Guys,

I am obtaining an International Driving Permit and have a Green Provisional License.

Will this be enough to rent a car in France, Italy and Iceland?

Thanks in advance!

As an aside any tips on practicing driving on the opposite side of the road before arriving? e.g. an app game that has driving in France etc.

I suggest you put this post on each of those countries Forum Page.I would think that many countries around the world rental companies might want a full licence , held for a number of years. I remember trying to rent a 4 WD in Alice Spring and I was not older enough at the time.
