Viewers of ITV's Love Island are reacting after details of the show's new season were released

Love Island is just around the corner after it was reported that the show would be kicking off its eleventh season this summer... but not everyone is buzzing for its return.

Apparently, fans of the show are all saying the same thing after reports claimed the show would be returning very soon.

Yep, it turns out those who have been following the series which features sun, snogging and drama are all feeling a bit naffed off.

The reality TV dating show has been on our screens since 2015 and we’ve seen true love blossom as well as some nasty break-ups.

Taking to X to vent their frustrations after hearing the news that the show is coming back again with presenter Maya Jama, Love Island veterans complained they're ‘tired’ now.

One person wrote after hearing the news: “i feel like i’ve been summoned for jury service.”

Another chimed in: “i fear I won't be seated actually.”

Finally, someone just said, ‘sigh’.

After nearly a decade of watching tanned up hotties strutting in a villa, playing games and getting up to no good, it seems as though viewers are just growing sick of watching the same thing each season.

But maybe this time there will be a new viewer… a royal?

Maya Jama hilariously came face-to-face with King Charles yesterday (15 May) and cheekily asked if he watches the show (yes, really), which made the monarch look like a deer in the headlights.

The two came face to face at a party in the Buckingham Palace gardens alongside the likes of Louis Theroux, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Tess Daly and Kate Moss.

When Maya found herself face to face with the King, she decided to snatch herself another viewer and told him: "I host Love Island. I don't know if you've watched it? It's a dating show."

The King then asked Maya about her future plans to which she hilariously quipped: "I’m just about to go to Spain to film some young people snog someone."

So, maybe the royals will pick up where old fans have dropped off?

According to reports, Love Island season 11 will hit screens on Monday, 3 June.
