A red panda was seen in the Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary (EWS) in Arunachal Pradesh.
About Red Panda:

- Family: Ailuridae
- Appearance: Striking red fur, Bushy tails and Adorable facial features.
- Habitat: Native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China, red pandas are typically found in temperate forests.
- It thrives best at 2,200-4,800m in mixed deciduous and conifer forests with dense understories of bamboo.
- Distribution: Nepal, India, Bhutan, Myanmar, and China.
- Food and Feeding: Mainly consume bamboo and fruits, berries, acorns and sometimes also small animals.
- Threat: habitat loss and fragmentation, poaching, and illegal pet trade.
