In the 2020 animated film “Soul,” Jamie Foxx lends his voice to Joe Gardner, a music teacher with dreams of becoming a jazz musician. After a life-threatening accident, Joe’s soul escapes to a beforelife realm. Directed by Pete Docter, the film explores Joe’s quest to return to Earth.
