Shedeur Sanders Takes 'High Road' With Warning To Former Teammate In Transfer Portal

Just a couple of weeks ago Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders went viral for calling former teammate Xavier Smith " very mid at best".

The comments came after Smith was among a few former Buffs featured in an article by The Athletic, and was quoted discussing just how disheartening it was to be among the players shown the door by Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

The star quarterback appeared to have kind of learned from this in one way or another, as on Thursday instead of taking a shot at one of his former teammates, he sent off a warning on the app formerly known as Twitter. What the warning is for is unknown at this time, but it clearly caught the attention of Sanders.

The teammate in question is former Colorado walk-on quarterback Gavin Kuld, who transferred into Colorado prior to the 2023 season after a stint at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M college.

While unable to confirm, comments on Sanders' post allege that Kuld did an interview  (which is now private on YouTube) where he is believed to have said something negative about his former teammate.

UPDATE: Here is a screen-recorded clip from Kuld's interview where he appears to take exception with how Shedeur Sanders used his NIL money.

Regardless of what was said or done and if it actually warranted this response, based on Sanders' post, he may be willing to face backlash again if Kuld does/says it again.
