Six injured as JJP MLA’s convoy attacked, party blames Congress workers

Naina’s elder son and former Haryana deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala said his mother was on her way to attend a programme in Uchana, the Assembly segment he represents.

“Some youths who identified themselves as farmer leaders were followed her convoy from Gogaria. In Roz Khera village, they created nuisance. Six of our party workers including two women sustained injuries. Women’s clothes were torn and two men have sustained fractures. They also pelted stones at the convoy in which which one vehicle got damaged,” Dushyant said.

A JJP leader said: “Naina ji did not sustain any injuries in the attack, but because tension erupted in the area, she left the venue and all of us went to our party’s office in Uchana.”

In Chandigarh, Congress leader B B Batra denied that his party’s workers were involved in the incident.
