I went to Garyu with a friend and her son and their friend from Philippines. Her son was only 6 years old, The staff was very attentive to him and he enjoyed both cooking and eating.

After lunch we went to Tokyo Tower, which was about a 3 minute walk from the restaurant, so I would recommend making a reservation at Garyu along with sightseeing at Tokyo Tower.

This was my first time to make sushi with real sushi chefs who take on average, 5 years to perfect their craft. I went with my nephew and his girlfriend who were visiting from the UK. The owner Atsushi san, his master chef and his assistant were very patient with us and the final results werre pretty good! This place gives visitors a unique insight and confidence to making sushi. We loved our time there and I will look to bringh other visitors from overseas there too. Conveniently located just a stone's throw from Tokyo tower.

What a fun day out. Great experience, would definitely recommend to friends and family. Such helpful staff and so kind showing us how everything works.

Food was delicious too, big selection of fish all of which I could have eaten more of (Although by the end I was more than full)

This was such a lovely way to experience Japanese cuisine/culture.
The staff was welcome, friendly and very patient the whole way through the experience. The ingredients were fresh and the presentation was great!

It was so interesting to learn more about sushi and how to make it.

And the best thing: at the end we were able to eat our own delicious sushi. It tasted great!

Had an amazing experience in this place where we experience making our own sushi. Instructions were given in English through a tablet and also a sushi chef was on hand to give tips. It would make a fun outing for visitors to Tokyo with family and friends, even for company events. My Japanese wife Aso enjoyed it so even for locals it can be a fun experience. After we’re done they also took us to a hidden spot nearby overlooking Tokyo Tower. Highly recommended!
