Brooklyn Beckham's emotional promise in the wake of Nicola Peltz-Beckham's tragic loss

Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham have remembered the actress' late grandmother, who passed on May 17.

Nicola described Gina, who was known fondly as 'Naunni', as her "angel" in an Instagram post on Monday morning.

The young couple both shared tributes to Gina, with Brooklyn making an emotional promise in the wake of her death.

Sharing a photo of himself with his arm around Gina's shoulders, Brooklyn wrote: "Naunni thank you for being you. You were the sweetest and happiest person ever and you taught me to find joy in everything.

"Thank you for always making everyone smile, you made everyone's whose lives you touched infinitely better. I'm so lucky to have had the honour of being your grandson for the past 4 years."

"I promise to take care of Nicola and your family. I will miss you so much. I love you so much xxxxxxx," he finished the post.

Brooklyn, 25, shared a collection of photos and videos of him and Gina through the years alongside his touching tribute and promise to look after her granddaughter.

Nicola, 29, also honoured her grandmother with a tribute post where she confessed she didn't have the "right words" to speak about the loss because "I just don't believe you're gone".

"I really pray so hard you're at peace right now. I still don't understand where you went. I just wish you stayed with me longer, there was so much I wanted to do with you," the actress wrote on Instagram.

"I wanted to be with you all summer. I'm sad you will never get to meet my kids, hug me, talk to me or watch any other movies I make. I'm so heartbroken and miss you so much. I'm so lucky you were my Naunni.

Beckham smiles with daughter after upsetting soccer match

"You raised the most perfect daughter that I'm lucky enough to call my mom which is my biggest gift in life. Thank you for always being there for me and always knowing how to make me happy. I feel so broken inside, I just wish you could be here with me."

Nicola went on to describe Gina as "the happiest and most beautiful lady I've ever met", adding that she was lucky to grow up surrounded by Gina's "love and laughter".

The post continued: "I know you always told me happiness is a choice but now being an adult and remembering that, I only know now how strong you were because I'm not as strong as you, I don't feel any happiness I just miss you so much.

"My words will never even begin to express how much I love you and what you mean to me. You kept our family together and now I feel like we're all lost without you. Please send me a sign that you're close to me."

She signed off with "Love always, your dolly, Nicky".

The emotional tribute was posted alongside a collection of photos of Nicola and Gina from the 29-year-old's childhood, all the way through to more recent times.

Nicola's post was flooded with kind comments from her 3.1 million followers and her famous friends and family, including mother-in-law Victoria Beckham.

"Nicola we all feel so blessed to have loved naunni," the former Spice Girl penned in the comments section.

"We are so sorry for your loss and send you love and light at this incredibly difficult time, we love you so so much."
