Golfer Reveals He, Others Did Same Thing Scottie Scheffler Did This Morning

Scottie Scheffler started off his Friday morning in wild fashion. The reigning Masters champion was arrested by the Louisville Metro Police.

Scheffler was trying to get to the entrance of Valhalla Golf Club ahead of his second-round tee time. However, there was traffic in the area because a man was fatally struck by a shuttle bus around 5 a.m. ET.

A police officer tried to tell Scheffler to stop, but he continued driving towards the entrance.

Scheffler was ultimately arrested for reckless driving, second-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, and disregarding traffic signals from an officer.

Interestingly enough, Min Woo Lee said he did what Scheffler did to beat the traffic delays around Valhalla. He claims others did as well.

"Min Woo Lee says he and other courtesy cars did the same thing as Scheffler to get to the course around traffic delays," Jon McCarthy of the Toronto Sun wrote on X.

If this is true, that may add another layer of intrigue to this story. Why was Scheffler the only golfer who got arrested on Friday morning?

Hopefully, we'll receive more clarity on this situation in the near future. In the meantime, we have statements from Scheffler and his attorney
