NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Jacob Balcome from the UW-River Falls men's track & field team competed on the campus of St. Olaf College May 15-16, winning the Ole Last Chance men's decathlon.

Balcome compiled a personal record 6,588 points, including a first place 161'1" javelin throw and a second place 400-meter dash time of 51 seconds. His 6,588 points (2nd all-time UWRF) ranks 11th nationally, putting himself in good position to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

In addition to Balcome's performance, Dylan Wachter competed at the Augustana Midwest Qualifier on May 15, clocking a PR 800-meter run time of 1:51.86, the second-fastest all-time at UWRF.
