Police are investigating after three people were found dead in a Madison County home over the weekend.

According to Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers, officers received a call around 3:30 p.m. about a triple homicide that had occurred at a residence on Old Canton Road. The police chief has identified the deceased individuals as 76-year-old Ida Thomas Welch, 56-year-old Vicky Renee Welch, and 42-year-old Crystal Lynn Welch.

This is a developing story. No arrests have been made in connection to the deaths. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is assisting RPD in assessing the case.

The incident out of Ridgeland comes just two days after police in neighboring Jackson made an arrest stemming from a triple homicide.

While the two cases are not connected, the Jackson Police Department’s Action Team arrested 27-year-old Jimal Tarvin on Friday for taking the lives of Travis Burrell, Jamie Hoard, and Nicole Garrett.
