Melanie martinez is starting to use ai for her mvs. Basically what I'm referring to is the snail in the light shower music video Because I think we can all tell that it's clearly AI generated Melanie's not actually lip syncing And it doesn't seem like she's trying as much as she used to And I don't mean to be one of THOSE Melanie fans where. I'm constantly talking about. I miss the old Melanie. She didn't change from crybaby to portals from the start of portals. She was trying But now honestly she doesn't really seem to be trying that much. Considering that she can't even be in her own music videos anymore seems kind of lazy to me Also I feel like the faerie Soiree music video was kind of a** as well Just because there was no depth to it. They were just dancing around for literally. No reason with death. And void and even tunnel vision. There was a story there was a reason For example, Melanie was escaping the grave because she needed to go to the void and at the end of the void music video, she jumped off the tall tower to get to the tunnel vision and then we just skip to her singing and dancing and doing nothing basically seems kind of disappointing. I'm not here to talk s*** about Melanie. I'm here to just say my personal opinions about melanie. You can call me a fake fan. All you want, but that's just my personal opinion. Please be nice about your opinions. You can say your own opinion in the comments, but please don't attack me. This it's just my personal opinion.

That's fair, it's just low key irritating to see people call anything "AI".
Second point: This is Melanie's art. Music Videos don't always star the artist in them. They're meant as visuals, not to show off the artist themselves.
This video was heavily soaked in metaphor and needed a different medium to portray this metaphor.
Is AI the new “it’s photoshop”? This is clearly CGI. CGI that may not be the greatest, but it’s CGI

There doesn't have to be a "story" to a MV. I personally loved her MVs so far.

Do we know it's AI and not CGI? How can you tell?
Personally I don’t think this entire thing is ai other than the distant background which is most likely just cgi (since there’s been proof that this era uses a set and a green screen) it would make more sense to make an environment and build on top of it which seems to be what they have done. as for her snail body it’s the same case of using cgi but just layering her actual face on top of it. I wouldn’t say she’s using AI it just might not be as obvious since there’s so much to render and her mouth is so small it’s hard to see what she’s saying (Same thing with the money flipping in K-12 for the principle). She’s used CGI for a lot of work like crybaby she used cgi to remove her head in pacify her, K-12 with the school in the bubble, and in her portals era she used cgi to stretch her mouth, have her hair grow. She uses a lot of cgi for her work it wouldn’t make sense she would use cgi for all of her work and then suddenly decide to use AI for portals. Sorry for the long paragraph I hope this clears something up I know she uses AI for her merch which sucks but it doesn’t seem like that reflects for her videos as she puts a lot of work into them.

i think she does use ai and i dont doubt that the label greenlights the use of ai in her merch and production, but this isnt that. cgi and digital fx take a lot of skill and as much as i understand the need to call out ai, i wish we would remember that there are a lot of programs to create with and we shouldnt undermine the work that goes into projects like her mvs

I respect ur opinion. But she is in the spirit world after all so everything is possible. Everything might seem incoherent at first but as more MVs come it will surely make more sense.
It's not AI, and I think there's an explanation in each of her mvs. For the moment it's not understandable, but I'm sure there's a story behind it that we'll understand sooner or later
This is cgi, it’s different to Ai. Cgi is hand animated and used in many films, especially some like Marvel. Because Melanie doesn’t have a big huge budget sometimes it doesn’t look as effective as it could but it’s not bad or cheap cgi by any means.

faerie soirée is using psychedelics to escape reality. and i think the mv was her being high bc the verses were swapped throughout the entire video and yeah people tend to be in a more elated state if they use weed and stuff (i think.. def not every drug) so that would be the dancing
