It's how we literally pronounce a musical beat. That beat in question sounds like it would be written as "Riggdah".

I don't understand how so many people miss the point of the question. Why would her mother SLAP her over a musical beat? That makes no sense unless we know the translation of Riggidah in Arabic.
This makes more contextual sense...
I spent literally an hour and all I got were people saying it's how to say the beat, and finally someone on Tik Tok (vomit) said it means "no strings attached."
So I'm guessing showing your Mom a song about "fucking with no strings attached" will get you slapped in Libya.
A lot of people claim to know what it means, but when called out, the few people in the comments that explain it just say it's how to say the beat. They miss the point that doesn't make sense why she'd get slapped if a beat was pronounced Riggidah, so obviously they don't know the real meaning.
I've made peace with "no strings attached." Though if I get corrected one day I'll be very happy to be wrong.
It is vocalizing the beat in Arabic cultures. You would say something along the line like "boom boom".
In this case, she got "boom boomed" in the face with smacks.
Edit: to add on what I wrote above: "riggidah" is the beat mostly used for hand drums as Arabic cultures use hand drums a lot. Ergo, she got "hand drummed" to the face.

No, she showed them the video clip which is very sexual and THEN she got smacked. She was young and naive is basically what she meant by it and got a cultural/religious reality check.
