Breaking records left and right, “The Roundup: Punishment” has now crossed the 10 million moviegoer mark!

On May 15, the Korean Film Council announced that as of 7:30 a.m. KST that morning, “The Roundup: Punishment” had officially surpassed a total of 10 million moviegoers at the Korean box office. With its release on April 24, it took merely 22 days for the film to achieve this remarkable milestone.

This achievement also marks several significant milestones: it’s the fastest film of 2024 to hit the 10 million mark, the first Korean film franchise to have three films draw over 10 million moviegoers (“The Roundup” [“The Outlaws 2”], “The Roundup: No Way Out,” and now “The Roundup: Punishment”), and the fastest film in the entire “The Outlaws” series to reach this feat.

Notably, “The Roundup: Punishment” is the second fastest Korean movie to reach 10 million moviegoers, trailing only behind the 2019 comedy hit “Extreme Job,” which accomplished this in 15 days. Furthermore, the movie is only the 24th Korean film in history to reach this significant box office milestone.

Congratulations to the film’s cast and crew!
