Saturday 11th May. Nashville Tennessee.

A  beautiful drive through Kentuckys rolling hills  to eventually get on the interstate. Thank goodness for GPS on the phone as the road system is so intertwined.  We made our way to Paula's nephew's  apartment in Nashville and after meeting his cats and admiring his nice apartment he drove us in his new company car, a Nissan, to a Mum and Dad restaurant.  Called this as its a family type restaurant.  Delicious food but weird combinations. Paula had a waffle with fried chicken, fruit and maple syrup poured over the lot!!! Meanwhile I've discovered an Arnold Palmer( unsweetened tea with lemonade).

Afterwards we visited a liquor store for Tom and Paula to purchase some Tennessee liquor. So many cocktails in a big bottle, moonshine and of course Tennessee bourbon and whisky. We sad farewell to Steve, and headed to our Air B&B. Settled in and watched some TV. My boys have just wished me happy Mothers day so Happy Mothers day to all the Mothers too.

  1. We didn't see much of Nashville, but I'm sure you will.
I leave tonight for my flight back home, so I'll follow you from there. Enjoy the rest of your adventure. Safe travels.

  2. That waffle looks quite bizarre. Hope it tasted better than it looks.
