A. Whitney Brown on WTF with Marc Maron this week. Good SNL stuff therein.
Wherever podcasts are found, you know the drill, lock the gates etc.
Mr. Brown addresses his addictions and misdeeds and lots of other stuff. I think it's a must-listen for die-hards. May be an instant turn off for some but his reputation has always fascinated me.
Anyone catch his slip about scoring dope with "G.E....um a guy on the show..."?
who would that be?
I assumed GE Smith, the guitarist and band leader at that time.
Loved the conversation-the type of insight you really don’t hear very often

Marc has his good weeks and bad these days
Sure but I'm not going to post twice a week in here about it, only when an obscure SNLer sighting occurs.
I'm going to have to listen! Have always loved him since the SNL days and was lucky enough to find once (can't seem to anymore) his video recipe for the best motherfucking biscuits. They truly are.
A. Whitney Brown's life story is like a Picaresque novel. There should be a movie or at least a documentary done about him.
I get the sense that he was a pretty dark soul for a lot of his professional era.
A. Whitney Brown on Dennis Miller: "Can't write a joke. Doesn't even recognize a good joke. Herb Sargent wrote most of those."
This interview was awesome. Thanks for the heads up.
Thank you for recommending this. I loved learning about A. Whitney's startling life, and his insights as to why the post-Season 11 cast clicked so well.
Did Maron tell any stories about Lorne? I heard he has popcorn in his office or something.
No but Whitney had a lot about him and their relationship.
Oh yeah, I will check it out. Thanks for the heads up.
