Nicki Minaj's first Houston show in almost a decade had costumes changes, singalongs and a few special guests.

Minaj's Pink Friday 2 World Tour brought the Barbz out Thursday night at Toyota Center — and R&B singer Monica, who has been performing midshow on several stops. Monica's setlist included "So Gone," "Before You Walk Out of My Life" and "Angel of Mine." Monica is featured on the song "Love Me Enough" alongside Keyshia Cole on Minaj's "Pink Friday 2" album.

There were surprise appearances by Houston rappers T-Wayne, Kirko Bangz and BeatKing during the late-night show that ran past 1 a.m.

"Appreciate you @nickiminaj for bringing me out last night much love," T-Wayne wrote on Instagram.

The biggest reaction, however, came when Houston resident 50 Cent walked out onstage. He led the crowd through his biggest hits, including "Candy Shop" and "In Da Club."

50 Cent moved to Houston in 2021 and has worked with the Astros, Rockets and Texans in various capacities. He also started an entrepreneur program with the Houston Independent School District. His champagne was 2023's Grand Champion Best of Show at the Rodeo Uncorked Champion Wine Auction & Dinner and sold for a record $325,000. Earlier this year, he made his RodeoHouston debut with a set that included appearances by Flo Rida, Jeremih and DaBaby.

During a recent show in Brooklyn, Minaj brought out pop icon Cyndi Lauper during the song "Pink Friday Girls." It samples Lauper's own "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."
