In a few days, this legendary science fiction saga will be back in theaters… And after an episode that left its mark on just about everyone in 2015, you’re not ready for what comes next.
In 2015, a sweet film called Mad Max: Fury Road was released in theaters and brought back to life a legendary science fiction saga, which had been dormant for 30 years. Because yes, basically, Mad Max is an action film from the 1980s with Mel Gibson in the lead, where people kill each other at full speed on the asphalt… For its part, Fury Road will retain this formula in a much more arid desert (and with Tom Hardy as “main hero” practically eclipsed by Charlize Theron). The feature film, directed by George Miller, was praised for its Dantesque imagery and its use of practical effects for numerous impressive stunts. Its spin-off, Furiosa A Mad Max Saga, arrives on May 22 in our cinemas. Suffice to say that he is expected around the corner.

On Furiosa, we follow the adventures of the eponymous character initially played by Charlize Theron in Fury Road. From now on, it is Anya Taylor-Joy (The Lady’s Game, Peach in the original version of Super Mario Bros. The Movie) who we find in the guise of the heroine. Here, she intends to take revenge after Dementus (Chris Hemsworth) and his horde of bikers tore her from her Green Earth. Except that the war between his captor and Immortan Joe – the big bad of Fury Road – is at its peak.
