2024 Lenovo Tab Plus Android tablet appears on Google Play Console, suggesting at it being a rebranded Xiaoxin Pad Studio
Lenovo is believed to be getting ready to introduce its Tab Plus to the global market. The media-focused device first came under the spotlight with a leak in February. This leak showcased the design of the Android tablet and hinted at some of the specs. Coincidentally, the recently launched Xiaoxin Pad Studio matches the design and the specs that the leak has shed light on.
Now, the 2024 Lenovo Tab Plus has made its way to multiple certification sites, which includes Google Play Console. With this, we got to know the model number of the upcoming Android tablet, TB351FU. It has also confirmed that the core specs are similar to the Xiaoxin Pad Studio that the company recently launched in China.
Google Play Console shows that the Lenovo Tab Plus features the MediaTek MT8781V processor, the codename for the MediaTek Helio G99 found in the Xiaoxin Pad Studio. This gets reaffirmed with the Energy Star certification, which specifically mentions the chipset.
Besides, Google Play Console certification gave away the display resolution of the Lenovo Tab Plus. It’s 2000x1200 pixels, which matches the resolution of the Xiaoxin Pad Studio. Even the front picture shared on the certification website matches Pad Studio.
All this hints at the Lenovo Tab Plus being a rebrand of the Xiaoxin Pad Studio. However, while the latter is for the Chinese markets, the former will be for the global regions. Of course, the international price of the tablet is yet to be confirmed, but the Chinese version launched at CNY 1,299 (about $180). Worth noting that similarly specced Android tablets such as the Galaxy Tab A9 do fall in the $200 range in the international markets (curr. $119.99 on Amazon).
