Nikki Glaser was regarded as one of the best comedians on the night Tom Brady was roasted

Nikki Glaser has provided her thoughts after Tom Brady admitted regret over roast jokes 'upsetting his kids'.

The NFL legend starred in Netflix's The Roast of Tom Brady, with the show proving hugely popular with viewers.

The show was full of talking points, including Brady snapping at Robert Kraft and the sporting legend even taking aim at Kanye West.

Of course, signing up for a roast requires a thick skin, especially when there will be professional comedians directing quips at Brady.

And while Brady thought a lot of the jokes were pretty funny, he admitted in a recent interview how puns had 'affected' his kids.

Brady has three children; a son and daughter with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, and a son with Bridget Moynahan.

Many participants took aim at Brady's marriage and divorce to Bündchen.

The pair announced their separation in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.

Without specifying which jokes upset his children, he told The Pivot Podcast: “I liked when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way they affected my kids."

The sports star clarified that he would take some lessons from the experience and 'be a better parent' as a result.

He said: “I’m going to be a better parent as I go forward because of it. At the same time, I’m happy everyone who was there had a lot of fun. If we’re not laughing about things, we’re crying.

"We should have more fun. What do we love? We love laughing in the locker room. Let’s do more of that and love each other and celebrate other people’s success.”

Glaser was widely considered to be one of the best comedians on the night, though she debated in a recent interview whether Brady knew what he was getting into.

Speaking on Today With Hoda & Jenna, Glaser said: "I also think Tom Brady does not do anything without doing his research and knowing exactly what he’s getting into with the Netflix show.

'It’s impossible to me that he didn’t consider what could have happened because there’s roast footage out there that you can watch and go, ‘They’re gonna go this hard.'"

She added: "But then, there’s a part of me that thinks that Tom Brady, especially given his career and how much people love him, no one’s ever said a bad thing to him in the past 30 years, so he doesn’t know what anyone’s capable of going there."
