David Beckham says Man United fans will be fuming after what he's just said about Liverpool legend Jurgen Klopp

The dust has begun to settle on the fact that Jurgen Klopp is no longer Liverpool’s manager.

As if to underline the point that the German has left the club, the Reds moved swiftly to announce his successor on Monday.

It was already an open secret that Arne Slot would be the man tasked with filling Klopp’s shoes. That has now been made official.

In the meantime though, tributes are still pouring in for one of the greatest manager’s in Liverpool history. Jurgen would probably prefer the praise to be aimed at his players and coaching team, but he isn’t getting a choice in the matter.

The latest to weigh in is former England captain David Beckham. And being a Manchester United legend, Beckham has admitted that some fans of his old club may not be happy with what he’s said about Klopp.

What David Beckham has said about Jurgen Klopp

Obviously, there was no love lost between Beckham and Liverpool during his playing days. The former winger was a big part of one of United’s greatest ever teams.

However, it’s obvious that despite his allegiances to the Reds’ great enemies, the 49-year-old can’t help but be bowled over by the brilliance of Jurgen.

Speaking to the SmartLess podcast with Hollywood actors Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Liverpool fan Will Arnett, Beckham admitted that he’s going to miss the old Liverpool boss.

“Even as a Man United fan I love Jurgen,” gushes Beckham. “I love his character, his personality, and what he brings to the sport.

“I am going to get killed by some of my Man United mates, I am sad to see him leave. What he’s done for the club and the sport has been incredible.”

Of course, Beckham is not just a Man United and England legend, he’s also president and co-owner of MLS side Inter Miami.

Being the team of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, Miami have gotten a reputation as a place for slightly fading superstars to continue their careers.

And with that in mind, Liverpool supporter Arnett was keen to use his opportunity with Beckham to offer who should now be manager to Messi and co.

“My only piece of advice I’ll ever give you when it comes to football, I will say this,” the actor began. “You’ve got a good coach over at Inter Miami, but you know what I’m going to say who needs to come in, because he’s about to be available. He’s my guy, Jurgen Klopp. I love Jurgen Klopp so much.”

It wouldn’t quite compare to Liverpool perhaps, but we’d be interested to see that happen. Why not?!
