I’m entering the town of Twin Peaks. There are more Drag Queens here than I imagined. Some damn fine singers, too…
Come kick off Pride Month by honoring the most Wonderful and Strange of David Lynch’s Mysteries with two of Philly’s favorite cabaret curators- Balena Canto and Shannon Turner!
Fire WERK With Me is a two hour extravaganza that will take you on a journey through the world of Twin Peaks and David Lynch via the souls of Philadelphia’s most incredible Drag, Burlesque and Cabaret performers!
In addition to our sickening performances, we will play a Twin Peaks themed GAME where your knowledge of the Future/Past could win you a FREE DRINK from The Roadhouse!
Finally, if you weren’t already as excited as Nadine Hurley is about silent drape runners, we will be holding FOUR INCREDIBLE RAFFLES that include:
1) Two free passes to a future Balena Canto Presents Show
2) A vocal coaching (in person or virtual) from Shannon Turner (named Best of Philly by Philadelphia Magazine 2023)
3) A signed poster from your damn fine queer cast
4) Original art made just for Fire Werk With Me!
About your hosts:
Shannon Turner is Philadelphia’s resident cabaret beast about town. She has performed all over the United States and is half of the critically acclaimed cabaret duo Glitter and Garbage, along with Lili St. Queer.
Balena Canto is Philadelphia’s seductive song-wielding siren with a voice snatched for the gods! Her mission in life is to bring joy, laughter, and perhaps a tear or two (she is a trained opera singer after all) to her audiences through song. Balena can be seen performing, producing, and hosting drag shows, cabaret, and other nightlife events throughout the Greater Philadelphia area!
