She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Gray and Ollie Mae Gray; and her husband Allen Whitton. She is survived by : her sons, David Whitton (Cheryl) and Paul Whitton (LaDon); her grandchildren, Lonnie Whitton (Christina), Nathan Whitton, Tanis Todd (Jeff), Brandon Pennington (Lori), Erica Smith and Brittanie Pennington; her sisters-in-law, Gaynell Baker and Treva Gray; and her niece Lydia Quinn. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (2116 South St, Nacogdoches, TX 75964). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
