If like me the only time you’ve heard of 70x7 is in Matthew 18 where it says: 21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?  22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Numerical Perfection of the KJB

However, when looking at the numerical perfection of the King James Bible (KJB) there is so much more to this and with even greater meaning.

This is the second of four articles and podcasts we’re doing that references the videos of Brandon Peterson of Truth is Christ Ministry in which he has discovered, with the help of a free online database program called Pure Bible Search.

Brandon has connected the dots of the numerical anomalies, specifically within the KJB that does not occur in any other version of the Bible, and in my opinion, renders them worthless. It also explains why there would be alternative version created in the first place, i.e. top place doubt in people’s minds as to the veracity of the Bible in the first place.

The illustration below is so breath-taking, it warrants setting up a free account on Figma to experience the sheer amount of work that has gone into preparing this information.  Here is the link to the Gumroad where you can download it for free.

For God So Loved the World and Our Need for Forgiveness

The most basic tenant of the Bible is that God sent His only begotten Son to die for us so that our sins could be forgiven, should we believe on Him.

Quick back story: Satan was banished to earth because he rebelled.  God created man in His image and gave Adam the keys to the earth.  Satan deceived Adam & Eve, which meant they sinned against God and Satan now ruled the earth.  Fast Forward 4000 years.

God showed the Jews they needed a saviour as they could not adhere to the laws and sacrifices were never enough.  Jesus returns as man and God and offers Himself as the ultimate and last sacrifice for all sin.

It’s quid-pro-quo, we repent of our sins, God forgives us, we get baptised and then receive the Holy Spirit.

We in turn must forgive our brothers in Christ of their sin and not judge or bear grudges. Those outside the church we are also not to judge as their sin is between them and God.

How Seven Times Seventy Connects The Whole Bible

Of course you can watch the video, but I’ll present my summary as I see it.  There are three main parts to this revelation:

  • Jesus was condemned for stating He was the Son of God
  • Central point of the Bible and His purpose is Forgiveness
  • Forgiveness and Keys to Heaven

Jesus was Condemned for Stating He Was the Son of God

The pharisees wanted to kill Jesus because Jesus publicly proclaimed he was the Son of God and in their eyes he had blasphemed.

As you can see from the illustration below, Jesus states in John 10:30 “I and my Father are one” and in John 10:36 “I am the Son of God”.  This is the 70x7 mention of the words Father + Son.

70x7 Jesus central

Sandwiched between the above words Father + Son, are two mentions of Jesus.  Jesus is mentioned 70x7+70x7 times in the Bible.   These two mentions happen to be the last mention of the first group of 70x7 and the first mention of the last group of 70x7.  Not a coincidence!

Central point of the Bible and His purpose is Forgiveness

Jesus came to forgive our sins.  I doubt there are few people who do not recognise the act of doing something wrong and that in the eyes of the law, moral or legal, it must be remitted or forgiven.  Some sins are so big that some people do not believe they could ever be forgiven.  And that’s the point.  Only through Him, Jesus, can our sins be forgiven and not through a priest in a confessional box!

The Back Story: Because Adam and Eve sinned against God, they transferred ownership of earth to Satan.  Satan was cast down to earth (as his prison) because he also sinned and rebelled against God.  We, therefore live in a world ruled/run by Satan who intent on is making mankind sin and therefore be separated from God.  And if we do not acknowledge that Jesus died as a once and for all time sacrifice, a remittance, for our sins, we would be eternally separated from God, which is the objective of Satan.

So, the central point of the Bible is to bring mankind back into a relationship with God, and the central point of the Bible is Jesus and forgiveness, which brings us back to why 70x7.

7x70 means limitless.  God has not stopped forgiving us, there is no upper limit, otherwise it becomes conditional.  70x7 + 70x7 is also the number of times Jesus is mentioned in the New Testament, but it’s more than that.  He is mentioned the exact same number of times in the ODD books as He is in the EVEN books.  There are 117,753 words in the odd books and 62,629 words in the even books!

Peter Denies Christ: Peter tells Jesus he will not forsake Him and Jesus responds, He knows Peter will deny Him three times by the time the cock crows.

69 Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.

70 But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Jesus had already forgiven Peter!

The 7th time a 70th verse appears in the Bible is in Matthew 26:70. This is where Peter denies Christ for the first time.

Matthew 26:70 is the 70x7 + 70x7 = 980 verse in the Bible.

The 1st time a 70th verse appears in the Bible is in Numbers 7:70 where it mentions: 70 One kid of the goats for a sin offering:

Forgiveness and the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven

God reveals Jesus as His Son to Peter and Jesus tell Peter He will build His church on this rock, referring to Peter, and will give Peter the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, stating in Matthew 16 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

In Matthew 18 Jesus states, 11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Within Chapter 18, Jesus explains who and how we are to forgive.  It’s all about forgiveness.  Jesus repeats 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.  So, when Peter asks 21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

There are many sermons by preachers and pastors each had their own versions of what it meant.  Here are a few:

  • Peter was trying to show how holy he was by saying seven times as the pharisees, with reference to Amos, said you could forgive up to three times.
  • The reference was to Daniels 7x70 weeks prophecy which is 490 and this is to reference in years, the ultimate year of Jubilee which is to forgive sins.
  • 490 being a perfect number and is also the numerical equivalent in gematria for; ‘to be born – nativity’, ‘Bethlehem’, ‘bread+forgiveness’.
  • The shmita year being the 7th year or Rosh Hashana

There are many more sermons and videos on YouTube, and it is important to do a search to review them for yourself.

However, it can seem to be presented in the wrong order, but after presenting everything in the bible as being numerically astounding, God clearly had a reason for it to be presented this way.

Jesus is telling Peter he will be given the Keys to Heaven.  Access to heaven is dependent on mankind forgiving each other.  If you bind up, put in chains, refuse to forgive on earth, you, as the ‘unforgiver’ will be bound up in heaven.  If we refuse to forgive, how and why should God forgive us.

My Conclusion

I am in complete awe regarding these revelations.  This is nothing short of humanly impossible.  No artificial intelligence could have created a document such as this.

I have heard so many narrators give sermons on their interpretation of the Bible and indeed many of them are very good and provides great teaching.  However, I have no idea where I would be right now if I had been told this information, not only when I first became a believer, but way before then.

What if everyone had been told about the mathematically perfect structure of this book, that is clearly given to us by God.  How would it have affected their lives and society.

For God to have done this unequivocally provides ‘Proof of God’.  I hope you grasp this and it impacts you as it has done so for Liz and me.

God bless. Until the next article – next week.
