HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's tennis team handed out its postseason team awards and first-year
Peyton Capuano was named the Big Green's Most Valuable Player.
Elizabeth Fahrmeier was named Most Improved, and the Class of 1985 Award, which is given annually to the player who best embodies the program's core values, was presented to
Ameliija Swaffer-Selff.
Capuano played No. 1 singles for the duration of the 2024 season and earned a Second Team All-Ivy Singles honor after going 8-7 on the top court. Capuano also compiled a 9-9 doubles record with fellow first-year
Michela Moore, mainly playing on Court 2. The Herndon, Virginia native enjoyed a 4-0 start to the season, including a win over Ivy League Player of the Year Esha Velaga of Penn during the ECAC Championship.
Fahrmeier, who was sidelined during the 2023 season, made a successful return to the court in 2024 and earned a First Team All-Ivy Doubles accolade alongside
Lexi Dewire as the pair earned an Ivy League-best 6-1 conference mark (9-5 overall).
Swaffer-Selff, along with Dewire, captained the Big Green during her senior season. She appeared in three matches and consistently brought energy and enthusiasm while cheering on her teammates.
Dartmouth posted a 7-13 overall record and a 1-6 mark in the Ivy League during its 22nd season under Marge & Ron Boss '61 Family Head Coach
