Google's biggest annual developers event of the year, Google I/O 2024 kicked off today. In Google's own words, the core mission of this year's announcements is: Organizing the world's information and making it universally accessible and useful. There were lot of announcements on Gemini, Google's powerful generative AI platform. Google announced it's rival to ChatGPT maker OpenAI's Sora and Dalle. The company also announced new watermarking of AI-generated images and videos. As expected, there was no hardware announcement this time. Google had already announced Pixel 8a last week.
