Kenny Miller has warned Philippe Clement the pressure will be ramped right up on him if he fails to win the Scottish Cup - and goes into the first Old Firm game of next season needing to avoid defeat to prevent a FIVE GAME winless streak against Celtic.
“This Scottish Cup final will be Philippe Clement’s fourth go at Celtic in a short space of time and if Rangers were to lose it then it just heaps a lot of pressure – not at this moment – but when you look at next season. That first Old Firm game will be back at Celtic Park and it’s a place they’ve not won too often over the past few years so if that was the fifth game and you’ve not been able to get one over on your old rivals then I just think questions will start to be getting asked.
McCoist said: “Rangers’ recent form has been shocking, frankly. Losing at home to Motherwell, losing at Ross County and drawing at Dundee and another defeat at the weekend there. The title will go to Celtic, yes, there’s no doubt about it and do they deserve it? Yes. But I think both sides are average and it’s not sour grapes. I don’t think either of the Old Firm are great.
