Decided to try this Brasserie for breakfast this morning ( 11th May )
It wasn’t particularly busy but it was early in the day, we were seated by a nice young man and served by a lovely lady, I ordered the granola and yoghurt, with berry compote, the portion was tiny, not even a tablespoon of granola or compote, it was less than a small child’s portion, I did challenge the portion size, to be told that “ they get lots of complaints about the size of this particularly dish” and that head office had been made aware of the complaints, which left me thinking that they should maybe do something about it.
My partner had a “Full ENGLISH breakfast, on the plate was a small side of beans masquerading as baked beans, they were actually harissa spiced haricot beans, resembling small lead shot, there is no place on a FUB for these, being from Yorkshire we were not impressed, come on stick with the tradition of good old baked beans with your brekkie.
We found it overpriced too, £32 for 2 people, it was very mediocre, doesn’t inspire us to return sadly.

We arrived at Cote Henley at 5.30 pm on a Friday evening. The restaurant was less than a third full. We were led to a small table for 2 which turned out to be the worst table in the house, next to the service station and very cramped.
We did have a lovely meal, well served but the ‘crowds’ for the other empty tables failed to arrive during the time we were there - making us feel hard done by.

Booked for our anniversary dinner Saturday 20th April. Pleasant restaurant and staff but let down with the food sadly. We ordered scallops to start £12 . They arrived 3 scallops cut in half so thin. No colouring on them and tasted bland. They were set on a huge bed of peas. Then our steak arrived. Sirloin £24 along with the smallest portion of green herb garnish I have ever seen. No mushrooms or other accompiament and a small portion of cold chips. I ordered potato dauphinouise (£5) again what a disappointment. Such a small portion approx 1 tablespoon size, my partner joked it looked like hospital food. Straight away you could tell the steak was chewy. Not cooked medium rare as requested as so fatty after 3 pieces I gave up. We brought this to the staffs attention straight away. They agreed the quality was not up to standard. The matter was handled very well by staff who agreed not to charge us. Offered a free desert but obviously we would have prefered a nice steak.The evening was a complete disaster and disappointed . Ruined our anniversary meal. We left feeling hungry and annoyed. Cote you need to do far better. We travelled from South Wales for our break and you spoiled our weekend.

Excellent steaks and very reasonable prices including wine. The Manager, Constantina was very friendly super attentive, and all round the experience was well rounded.

I tried my first ever steak tartare and enjoyed it very much it was followed by tuna nicoise my partner had chicken liver parfait and fillet steak.. great relaxing atmosphere. top marks
