RAD Torque Raceway Nisku, Alberta
RAD Torque Raceway formerly known “Castrol Raceway” “Capital City Raceway Park”, “Capital Raceway”, “Labatt Raceway”, and “Budweiser Motorsports Park”, is a multi-track auto racing facility located just south of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located on land leased from the Edmonton International Airport, the clay oval opened in 1991 and the dragstrip opened in 1992. The facility features an 8,500-seat ¼ mile NHRA-sanctioned dragstrip, and a 4,500-seat 3/8 mile clay oval. There is also a pro motocross track, a mini-sprint car track, and a 2.7 km road course which opened in 2013.

At RAD Torque Raceway, we host an extensive schedule of drag racing events throughout the race season, offering excitement for a diverse range of racing enthusiasts. From Street Legal races to thrilling Jet Car spectacles, our events cater to all kinds of fans. Our drag strip is fully equipped to accommodate feature events, boasting a capacity of up to 15,000 fans. Additionally, we take pride in being the host venue for prestigious events such as the Rocky Mountain Nationals NHRA Canadian Open and Canada’s largest single-day drag racing extravaganza, Hot August Night Jet Car Show.

Discover our facility with 22 enclosed suites, two tower lounges, cutting-edge control and timing systems, new LED scoreboards, and permanent restrooms. The adjacent paddock/pit area offers 12,000 sq. meters of unobstructed asphalt, perfect for large ride-and-drive events.
