Tiffany Haddish Finally Reacts To Ex Common’s Bond With Jennifer Hudson

IN a recent appearance on the Making Space with Hoda Kotb podcast’s May 8 episode, popular actor Tiffany Haddish expressed support for ex Common’s relationship with Jennifer Hudson, amidst the launch of her new book, I Curse You With Joy. 

“I love Jennifer,” Haddish said, adding, “I hope they’re having fun. Girl, please.”

She further added that even though “there’s a lot of common men” in her new essay collection, out now, the Common himself is “not in” it.

While filming The Kitchen in 2019, Haddish first met Common. However, their relationship was initially platonic .

“The only celebrity I’ve entangled with, it was two years of him chasing me down before I finally was like, ‘Okay, let’s do something,’ ” she had said in an earlier interview. “That was top of 2020, but we met at the beginning of 2018, 2017.”

While talking about hoe their relationship ended, Haddish said on Kotb’s podcast, “It’s like, you remember when you was a kid and you’d be on a play date, and y’all like playing, having a good time, and then all of a sudden, y’all like sliding down the slide, and then you turn around and go, ‘Where did they go? Where did they — where’d they go?’”

“And you see them waving at you and they mama carrying them. And they’re like, ‘Byeee.’ That’s what it was like,” she had said in another interview.

Amidst their collaboration on the forthcoming action-thriller Breathe, Common and Hudson ignited dating rumors back in 2022 after being spotted together in Philadelphia and Chicago.

Although the actress-singer dismissed these speculations in September of that year, rumors resurfaced in February 2023 when they were spotted exiting Nobu in Malibu, California.

The speculation gained momentum in January of this year when Hudson, aged 42, and Common were seen sitting courtside at an L.A. Clippers game. Finally, confirming their relationship, the rapper and actor made it official during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show later that same month.
