    We all have our favorite rappers and musicians, whom we relate to and enjoy their music almost daily. But what if we come to know that our favorite rapper/musician has done something legally wrong and they still don’t take accountability for it?

    To what extent are we going to defend them or continue to listen to their music? Should we apply cancel culture to these rappers as well? Most of them don’t even take accountability for their crimes. With this context, here are 5 rappers who physically assaulted their partners and are still enjoying great stardom.

    Rapper Sean Diddy also known as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, or Diddy is an American R&B artist and record producer. The singer has been making a lot of headlines recently due to his acts of assault.

    He has been enrolled in 4 lawsuits for r*pe, assault, and dr*ging several women including his ex-girlfriend, Cassie. His ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura aka Cassie took back the case and settled it but another woman named Jane Doe accused him of gang Rapping and drugging her.

    We all know Chris Brown for his great music and his popularity which isn’t affected by his past acts of assaults and crimes. The singer has been accused of physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

    Rihanna was 20 years old then and she was left with visible injuries on her face and was also hospitalized after it. Brown himself was 19 years old then, he accepted his crime and a deal of 1,400 hours of community service, five years probation, and domestic violence counseling.

    Another name in the list of domed rappers is Tyga. The rapper was accused of “emotionally, mentally and physically abused” his former partner Camaryn Swanson. The act took place at Tyga’s residence where his partner was present.

    Swanson posted a picture of herself with a black eye on her Instagram story with a caption saying: “I’ve been emotionally, mentally and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymoreI’m so embarrassed and ashamed it had to get to this but I have to stand up for myself.” The rapper was also in previous relationships with Kylie Jenner and Blac Chyna.

    Lil Uzi Vert’s case is more messed up than the others. ‘I Just Wanna Rock’ singer allegedly holed a gun at his ex-girlfriend. People tried to cancel him but he’s still thriving and making music. The following news didn’t surface in the media houses as Meghan Thee Stallion and Tory Larenz shooting news was the main concern at that time.

    His ex-girlfriend Brittany Byrd, filed a report against him. The singer was then sentenced to three years of probation, one year in mental health and substance abuse treatment, 52 weeks in domestic violence counseling, restitution, and ten years under a criminal protective order.

    5. XXXTentacion

    Even though the singer/ rapper Xxxtenatacion has died, before his death he was awaiting his trial against his ex-girlfriend from 2016. The charges included pregnant victims, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness tampering, according to a deposition by the alleged victim. 

    There were clips of XXX saying, “She know. So she’s scared. She thinks I’m going to kill her.” The situation was bad. The rapper also said in a recording, “I put my source of happiness in another person, which was a mistake initially, right? But she fell through on every occasion until now,” he is heard saying. “Until I started f—ing her up bruh. I started f—ing her up because she made one mistake. And from there, the whole cycle went down. Now she’s scared. That girl is scared for her life. Which I understand.”
