Emma Stone and Joe Alwyn, co-stars in the upcoming film "Kinds of Kindness," graced the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on Friday, May 17th, proving that their friendship remains strong despite Alwyn's past relationship with Stone's close friend, Taylor Swift.

Stone, 35, dazzled in a plunging plum halter gown adorned with sequins and a flowing skirt. Her look was completed with soft curls, pink lips, and long eyelashes. Alwyn, 33, opted for a classic black suit paired with a white button-down shirt and dark tie. The duo shared smiles with co-star Willem Dafoe on the red carpet.

While Stone and Swift have been longtime friends, Swift and Alwyn dated for almost six years before ending their relationship in April 2023. Swift is currently dating Travis Kelce, while Alwyn has kept his personal life private.

Despite the past connection, Stone and Alwyn have maintained a close friendship. Stone recently praised Alwyn in press production notes for "Kinds of Kindness," describing him as one of the sweetest people she's ever met.

"Kinds of Kindness," set to release on June 21st, follows three interconnected stories exploring themes of control, identity, and the search for connection. Stone and Alwyn previously collaborated on the 2018 film "The Favourite," where their friendship first blossomed.

Their appearance at Cannes not only highlights their professional collaboration but also their enduring bond amidst the complexities of their shared social circle. As they continue to promote their new film, Stone and Alwyn's friendship serves as a reminder that genuine connections can transcend past relationships.
