Sharmin Segal Mehta played the role of Alamzeb in Heeramandi. Despite her significant role, fans were not happy with her performance. Many called her 'expressionless' and were not impressed with her dead eyes.
Sharmin Segal is the daughter of film editor Bela Bhansali Segal and Deepak Segal, the content head of Applause Entertainment. She is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece. She is also the granddaughter of film director Mohan Segal.
Sharmin Segal studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. She started her journey in Bollywood by assisting her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali in films like Bajirao Mastani.
She made her acting debut in 2019 with Malaal. She played the role of a young girl who falls in love with a man staying in a chawl. She received a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
In November 2023, Sharmin Segal tied the knot with businessman Aman Mehta. The wedding was a private affair. Segal shared a few photos of the ceremony on her social media.
