What EDM song had a long time between when it was first played live and the day it was released

Discussion

For me, Heading Home by Alan Walker and Ruben. the song was performed for the first time on December 22, 2016, in a concert with the eponymous name (Alan Walker is Heading Home) in Bergen, his city where he lives. At the time, it was a song in the same style as Faded or Sing Me To Sleep, but it took 3 years, 3 months and 10 days for the song to finally be released.

except that the song released is a different version from the 2016 version, the 2020 version is more pop, instead of being electro-house, it's moombahton.

Many Walkers (fans of Alan Walker) were disappointed by the new version, and some even clashed and harassed others who thought the new version was good. (I even saw someone on Twitter say that a fan had insulted Alan Walker and his team just for that, but I can't find the source)

However, Alan Walker released the original demo as a title the same day.

Personally, I like both versions although I liked the 2016 version a little better.

But apart from Alan Walker, I don't know much (apart from David Guetta who played I'm Good with Bebe Rexha live for the first time in 2017 and released the song in 2022)

Dawn by Axwell /\ Ingrosso. I believe that the ID first premiered at SHM’s Terminal 5 set in 2010, before the final version was released as part of the More Than You Know EP in 2017.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike - "Yemaya" (Dates back to 2013, released in 2019 disguised as a remix of another song that came out earlier that year)

Avicii was playing Unbreakable in 2016 and then BUNT released his own version in 2020.

I still want an official release of Avicii's version

What So Not, Skrillex & KLP - GOH! took about 4 years (2014-2018)

Quix & The Chainsmokers - Grenade took exactly 5 years (2018-2023)

Odesza’s Loyal: went through some significant changes but kept the same trap drop and known as ‘that odesza trap song’ when it was an ID. The debut performance was with a college marching band at coachella like 4 or so years before release i think.

Also Martin Garrix Waiting for Tomorrow. Garrix debuted this one as an ID at a live set in like early 2016 iirc. Whats interesting about this one was Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park is on the vocals. It was the year after that Chester died and i wonder if that had something to do with the delayed release., considering many parts of the lyrics got changed and were re-recorded. Also the key is slightly different on the official release vs the original. Official release was late 2018 i think
