Hello, we will be visiting for 4 days in August. At this moment we don't have a lot planned. I was wondering about country music venues/bars? Are there any that you can suggest for us?
We plan to check out the Grand Ole Opry. I honestly haven't done much research. Any help is appreciated.

40 helpful votes The Music City Bar and Grill near Opryland is probably the best option for classic country music. In the Downtown area, Robert's Western World, The Stage, Legends Corner, Layla's and AJ's Goodtime Bar are the best options for older (60's - 90's) music.
If you're planning on a show at The Grand Ole Opry, I'd advise getting tickets sooner rather than later.
