Question
The reason people go there is for XP, right? Why west tek research center and not other locations? Any particular way i shoud go about clearing the place?

Chems, magazines etc. aren't much easy to obtain and they don't last forever, need be exploited with least time losses.
Clear main area (clockwise), clear basement, fast travel to WestTek, repeat.
I never even leave. Just use an elevator and bam more fodder to melt.
On ps4 it leads to choppy performance, which begins in basements already. I think it was recognized on other platforms as well. But if doesn't, then sure.
It also used to be used to farm steel, but now I'd say it's mostly just XP.
That and increasing your Season scoreboard points with that repeatable XP gain challenge. Helps if you're still in the middle of the season's challenges and want to rank up before it ends.
Look up angry turtles guide on it. But essentially you can use 3 nuka-grenades to clear out the whole place in about a minute. Spend another minute outside to reset. And you gain crazy amounts of xp for 2 minutes of work (excluding the time it takes to gather the resources for the grenades and other xp buffs).
You dont need to spend any time outside to reset.
Take the elevator down, and the place is instantly reset. The game can only memorize 1 instance per player, and since the underground area is a different instance, the main West Tek is reset
Oh true, good point about that, I'd forgotten about the basement area to net a bit more xp before starting over
It never resets the top floor for me. Every time I try the elevator method it just doesnt work. Is it just a problem with playstation?

I figured it out my bad. I had to do the uncover the secrets of west tek mission
Because it contains about 60 high level super mutants. It is the highest concentration of potential XP in one spot in the game. Can be cleared out in less than 4 minutes without even using the Nuka Grenades. Also, it resets after 30 seconds when you leave or go down to the basement, so you basically have continuous high level enemies to kill for as long as you want.
There is no better way to gain XP faster in the game.
Too bad it’s getting nerved soon , shit pisses me off tbh I just started recently farming it , currently level 170 & trying to get to 300 .
