AC/DC’s 24-date “Power Up” European tour will run through August hitting Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Paris, Ireland and London’s Wembley Stadium. The band’s first tour since 2016 is also the first to feature new bassist Chris Chaney, best known for playing in Jane’s Addiction as well as being a member of Alanis Morissette’s touring band.
The band triumphantly kicked off the tour Friday night in Gelsenkirchen, Germany delivering a 24-song setlist that nearly mirrored their set from last year’s Power Trip festival appearance. Two songs from the band’s latest album “Power Up” were included — “Demon Fire” and “Shot in the Dark,” and the band also kept the few surprises from Power Trip in the set including “Stiff Upper Lip,” “Rock ’n’ Roll Train,” “Riff Raff” and “Givin the Dog a Bone.”
