With the 2023-24 broadcast TV season very quickly winding down and the final flurry of finales now in sight, 10 series are still awaiting word on their fate.

Fox (on May 13), ABC (on May 14) and The CW (on May 16) should make more decisions as they announce their 2024-25 schedules during Upfronts Week.

Also, series such as The CW’s All American: Homecoming and Fox’s Accused, that have new seasons yet to premiere or in production, are not included either.

Season-to-date, Alert: MPU has been averaging 2.6 million total viewers and a 0.3 demo rating (with Live+7 playback), down a steep 32% and 40% from its freshman numbers. Out of the 24 entertainment programs Fox has aired this TV season, it ranks No. 6 in audience, while only Cleaning Lady, SYTYCD, TMZ Investigates, Grimsburg and The Great North pull a smaller demo number. UPDATE: Officially renewed for Season 3!
Season-to-date, All American is averaging 759,000 total viewers and a 0.2 demo rating (with Live+7 playback), down 13% and 33% from its Season 5 numbers. Out of the nine dramas that The CW has aired this TV season, it ranks third in viewers and No. 1 in the demo.
Season-to-date, The Cleaning Lady is averaging 2.2 million total viewers and a 0.2 demo rating (with Live+7 playback), down a steep 37% and 60% from its sophomore run. Out of the 24 entertainment programs Fox has aired this TV season, it ranks No. 9 in audience and ties for the lowest demo number. UPDATE: Officially renewed for Season 4!
The family comedy reportedly is set to be renewed for a (short!) final season, but ABC has yet to officially announce anything. Season-to-date, The Conners is averaging 3.7 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating (with Live+7 playback), down 26% and 29% from its Season 5 numbers. Out of the three sitcoms that ABC has aired this TV season, it leads the pack in total viewers and ties Abbott Elementary in the demo. UPDATE: Officially renewed for (final) season!
Season-to-date, The Great North is averaging just 579,000 total viewers and a 0.17 demo rating (with Live+7 playback), ranking last among all non-CW broadcast shows in both measures — and down a full half from its Season 3 numbers. UPDATE: Renewed!
Off the air since August, HouseBroken features the voices of Lisa Kudrow, Will Forte, Clea DuVall, Nat Faxon, Sharon Horgan, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson and Jason Mantzoukas, and followed a group of neighborhood animals as they worked through their issues — inside and outside their therapy group.
The animated series’ second season, which wound down last summer, averaged 460,000 total viewers and a 0.1 demo rating (with Live+7 playback). UPDATE: Officially cancelled.
Not Dead Yet has been averaging 2.8 million total viewers and a 0.3 demo rating (with Live+7 playback), down 21% and 40% from its freshman run. Among the three sitcoms that ABC has aired this TV season, it ranks last in both measures. UPDATE: Officially cancelled.
Season-to-date, Sight Unseen is averaging 529,000 total viewers and a 0.1 demo rating (with Live+7 playback). Out of the nine new or acquired dramas The CW has aired this TV season, it ranks seventh in audience and bests only those Ride reruns in the demo.
Season-to-date, Walker is averaging a hair over one million total viewers with a 0.1 demo rating (with Live+7 playback), down 16% in audience but steady in the demo vs. its Season 3 numbers. Out of the nine original or acquired dramas that The CW has aired this TV season, it easily ranks No. 1 in total audience and only trails All American in the demo.
Wild Cards‘ freshman run averaged 892,000 total viewers and a 0.1 demo rating (with Live+7 playback). Out of the nine original or acquired dramas The CW has aired this TV season, it trails only Walker in total audience.

I love animals and thought it was delightful.
I love Housebroken so much but am not overly optimistic. FOX has 7 other animated comedies if Great North is renewed, including the Universal Basic Bros./Hoagie Bros. one. Plus others like Bedrock are apparently still possibilities (though probably not until the next season). I think we might see animation expand to another night but probably just for an hour block. If they also take over all of Friday after Smackdown leaves, and that means Housebroken gets a surprise renewal, I definitely wouldn’t mind!
My dog Cerberus really loved that show. There’s nothng sadder than a three headed Hellhound crying.

What The CW is doing seems to be similar to what Masterpiece/(W)GBH/PBS does: some shows are acquired, some are co-productions that wouldn’t be made without PBS’s co-production from the start, and some become co-productions during their runs.

I like Wild Cards, and I’m watching Sight unseen. So I wouldn’t mind both of them coming back. But can they make the main character on Sight Unseen at least semi likeable? She is the worst thing about the show.
I stopped watching Sight Unseen because the lead is so unlikeable! Every time I watched I just kept thinking how I’d rather watch a show starring the supporting cast instead
I stopped watching Sight Unseen as well. Do not like the lead. To me it is just crazy how she refuses to acknowledge he blindness and at least try to learn to not be so dependent on her APP. It just feels so unrealistic.
It’s officially a co-production with the CW for so, kind of, sort of, your right but it’s not a pure import.
I really hope Not Dead Yet gets renewed! It’s funny and heartwarming with an adorable lead and a great ensemble cast. Always an enjoyable watch :)

Walker and Alert need to be renewed. TV is slowly becoming all reality shows which sucks. There is no talent in those shows at all!
I think Walker is almost a lock being their most-watched drama. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Not Dead Yet, The Cleaning Lady, and Wild Cards.
The Great North series co-creator Wendy Molyneux revealed back in February that the show has been renewed for a fifth season and that production is already underway. So was she lying?
I hope Not Dead Yet gets renewed. Especially if ABC is planning on canceling The Conners.

If The Cleaning Lady gets a proper season finale, I can easily live without more seasons. It’s run its course.
And I would want more Alert, unless they kill off Wayne in the finale – she’s too cute to be gone from the show.

I really enjoy Not Dead Yet. I only discovered it a couple weeks ago, so I’m really hoping it’s renewed for another season.
Definitely keep Missing Persons over Cleaning Lady. Persons has been much better this season and the banter between Caan and his partner is believable and funny. Cleaning Lady has simply lost it way since Arman passed away. Finally, keep Wild Cards. Great chemistry between the leads. Good supporting cast. Would really enjoy a season two.
Come on… renew Not Dead Yet and All American
CTV hasn’t decided anything about Spencer Sisters’ fate. Sullivan’s Crossing S2 is currently airing since Apr 14, 2024, and Children Ruin Everything has just been renewed for a 4th season of 16 episodes.

CTV also dumped Cleaning Lady and Not Dead Yet to CTV2 due to scheduling conflicts (while annoyingly programming Big Bang Theory reruns ad nauseam in primetime as schedule holes) which is usually a sign of low-ratings and soon-to-be-cancelled shows in the US.
Lea Thompson said on instagram a few weeks ago that spencer sisters was not picked up sadly. I was disappointed too, it was a great show!
How about adding “Resident Alien” to this “waiting for renewal news” list? This amazing show, hilarious and thought-provoking, with a super high Rotten Tomatoes 🍅 percentage should have been renewed immediately at the end of the season and not left hanging in the air!

My predictions on a few shows:
1. Cleaning Lady – Not going to be renewed.
2. The Conners – Going to be renewed for one last season.
3. Not Dead Yet – Not going to be renewed.
4. Alert Missing Persons Uniit – Eh! Not going to be renewed.
You were right about the Conners and Not Dead Yet.
Alert MPU have already been renewed for a third season and it’s a possibility The Cleaning Lady will also be renewed for a fourth season!!!
I’m very happy Fox renewed Animal Control for s3 (before s2 started!) but that’s my only Fox show.

For CW, Wild Cards is my preference over Walker. I watch both, but I’m getting tired of Walker… my TV tastes have changed to needing more fun stuff to watch, so I’m sorry mumbling stumbling lawman, if it’s one or the other I’ll go Wild …

Walker is essentially Sam Winchester, Texas Ranger. He just hunts regular criminals instead of Supernatural type ones. I just couldn’t get into that show, despite being a fan of some of the cast members from previous shows.
Love wild card show should get renewed wonderful show.

none of these shows interest me. I wanted them to keep so help me, Todd and Blue Bloods. If I had to choose one to keep, it would be the cleaning lady.
I was ready to give up on The CW after all but one of the shows I enjoyed were canceled. However they did bring in two shows that I grew to enjoy. Wild Cards and Sight Unseen have turned out to be very enjoyable shows that I look for to.
I love Sight Unseen I really hope it gets a season 2
Please keep The Good Doctor and Blue Bloods on the air! While both shoes may not be action packed all the time, there is substance and real life familiarities. LOVE the shows and actors! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!! There is plenty of story telling to be had in BOTH series. Thank you.
