The SunRisers became the 3rd team after KKR and RR to qualify for the playoffs. SRH entered the playoffs with 15 points in their kitty as their clash against GT resulted in a washout. The match ended without a ball being bowled at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on May 16, Friday.

SRH qualified for the playoffs for the first time since IPL 2020. As they finished at the bottom of the table in 2021 and 2023, and in the 8th spot in IPL 2022. The Cummins-led side will hope for a top-two finish as the probability continues to be within their reach.

SRH will hope to beat PBKS and expect RR with 16 points to lose their last match against KKR. Meanwhile, the race for the last spot in the race to the playoffs will be between CSK and RCB. The 2 teams will face each other in a mouth-watering encounter at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on May 18, Saturday.
