The tournament was created by the club soon after President Ray, who was a club stalwart, lost his short battle with an aggressive illness just over three years ago.
A relative newcomer to the game, Holloway has come a long way in leaps and bounds to be a very accomplished player at the club, and the latest result is testament to his early progress in the game.
In a knockout singles format, Holloway advanced to the final to take on Paul ‘Trapper’ Snare.
Trapper had been runner-up in the first two editions of the competition and had advanced to the final again to attempt to win the competition named in honour of his good friend.
Unfortunately for Trapper, he again came up short in a very close contest, when Holloway won an extremely worthy final.

Midweek Joker Bowls, sponsored again by Clear Lifestyle Support, is back in action early on Wednesday afternoon, to play at 1pm.
Last Wednesday saw Lyn Hardcastle and husband Alan team up as the only three game winners to take the spoils.
Incidentally, Lyn has featured in two out of the last three matches won.
So when you join up to play next week, you may draw Lyn as a lucky compatriot.
Lyn then carried on a very good day for the Hardcastle family when she had a chance at the $250, but that’s where the good luck ran out.
There will be $300 up for grabs tomorrow after play, which starts at 1pm.
