I'm disappointed the rumors of that character being revealed to be Songbird likely aren't true.

Ayo dropped out right before filming began, which would leave next to no time to change the character. Besides, Ayo was said to play Val's assistant when the recast was announced
Nah. Ayo would have been cast for her comedic talent, so this was almost certainly always the role of Val's assistant. It seems to me the Songbird talk emerged because people refuse to consider someone might be playing a non-superhero role.
I recall u/starksgh0st theorizing that the character of Val’s assistant was originally going to be called “Melissa Gold” (aka, Songbird). Which is probably what prompted the rumors if leakers knew about the original scripted name.
That's interesting. I wonder why they would've changed it? You'd think it would be an opportunity to set-up the character to appear later on.

Actors usually have comfy shoes to wear between takes of their dress shoes which can be boots or in her case heels.
Such a shame she's playing a minor character, Geraldine is a great actress.
